Suburban Horiculture
Prerequisite: Recommended: AGA 105 or BIO 102 or BIO 121. Horticultural concepts and their application to the growth and maintenance of fruit, vegetables and ornamentals common to most homes. Will not count toward Horticulture major or minor.

Instructor:
Marilyn Odneal
Marilyn Odneal is the Horticulture Outreach Advisor at the State Fruit Experiment Station of Missouri State University at Mountain Grove. She has Master of Science degree in horticulture (1980) and a Bachelor of Science degree in botany (1978) both from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Marilyn plans and develops the educational gardens at the Mountain Grove campus and implements programs in public horticulture education and outreach. Her applied research interests include native plants and cut flower production.
Marilyn has over 25 years of experience in the culture of grapes, blueberries, strawberries, brambles, and other fruit crops. She earned a Professional Development Certificate in Distance Education in 2002 from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Education Graduate Program in Continuing and Vocational Education and teaches Vineyard Management in the Vesta Program. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Marilyn now resides in Mountain Grove, Missouri. |
