Instructor:
Dr. Dennis Schmitt
Dr. Dennis Schmitt received his B.S. in Agricultural Education, a M.S. and Ph.D. in Dairy Husbandry (Reproductive Physiology) and DVM from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is board certified in Veterinary Reproduction by the American College of Theriogenology. He was raised on a registered Guernsey Farm just outside Springfield, MO and exhibited at state and national dairy shows until he began his veterinary studies. His veterinary practice for almost twenty years was comprised of dairy herd health programs throughout southwest Missouri and an embryo transfer business that encompassed dairy and beef herds throughout the U.S. He began teaching dairy production classes at Missouri State in 1996 and brings a diverse dairy experience to the course. |
