Sociology and Anthropology

CRM 320 899, 3 hrs
The Causes of Crime and Delinquency
Prerequisite: CRM 210 or SOC 150 or SOC 160 or permission of instructor
This course will examine the nature and dimensions of juvenile delinquency and adult criminality. Historical and contemporary theories of crime and delinquency are reviewed.

Missouri residents: $275 per credit hour
Non-Missouri residents: $275 per credit hour

bethany teeterInstructor: Ms. Bethany Teeter

BethanyTeeter (formerly Miller) was born in Hawaii and grew up all around the United States. Professor Teeter earned a Bachelors of Arts in Administration of Justice with an emphasis in Criminology and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. Upon completion of her undergraduate program she moved onto earning her Masters in Criminal Justice Administration.

Professor Teeter has been teaching Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology and Law Enforcement courses for the past seven years. Professor Teeter has taught seated, online and interactive television (ITV) courses.

In addition to teaching for seven years, Professor Teeter has had the pleasure to work with the Branson Police Department, Oklahoma Attorney General's Office in the Fraud Unit and co-author a paper that was presented to the American Society of Criminology in Washington, D.C. Other work included being the Academic Outreach Coordinator for Missouri State University in West Plains and Mountain Grove.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, writing and most of all, spending time with her husband and son!
