Dr. Scott WegnerInstructor: Dr. Scott B. Wegner

Dr. Wegner is a Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and has and earned doctoral degree from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. He also is a graduate or the university of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. His degree areas at both institutions were in Educational Administration. His specialty areas are curriculum and instruction as well as principal leadership studies.
Dr. Wegner has served in a number of different capacities throughout his career. He has been a teacher and coach, 7-12 Principal, 7-9 Junior high Associate Principal and a Director of Instruction. While at Missouri State University, Dr. Wegner has specialized in educational program review, accreditation and curriculum audits. Dr. Wegner has had a long term interest in the role of technology in educational delivery systems and has utilized distance learning systems since the mid-1190s. Dr. Wegner has presented internationally on the topic of Internet-based learning and has published several articles on the subject. Dr. Wegner is also widely published in this area as well as the field of curriculum.
Dr. Wegner has held a variety of international, national and state positions with educational organizations and is a trained NCATE portfolio reviewer as well as a trained evaluator for the State School Leaders Licensure Exams (SLLA). Dr. Wegner has traveled, consulted and presented internationally in Canada, New Zealand, Israel, Germany, and St. Maartin as well as in numerous states in the United States. He has been a consultant with his wife, Dr. Sandra Wegner, in over 200 schools within the state of Missouri assisting teachers to write curriculum, utilize authentic assessment as well as in general supervision and instruction. Dr. Wegner teaches a variety of on line courses including: EAD 651: foundations of Educational Leadership, EAD 652 The Secondary Principal, EAD 653: The Elementary Principal, EAD 657: Administration of Instructional Programs, EAD 763 Curriculum Design and Evaluation, and EAD 666: Supervision.
