ENG 221 898, 3 hrs
Writing II: Writing for the Professions
Prerequisite: ENG 110 or equivalent, and 30 hours.
Practice
in a variety of writing situations encountered by professionals: correspondence,
proposals, documented research reports, abstracts, definitions, product
and process descriptions. Emphasis on developing skills in audience analysis,
analytical reading, critical thinking, research methods, and clear writing.

Mr. Jonathan Kitchin
Jonathan Kitchin holds an M.A. in Professional Writing and a B.M. in Saxophone Performance from Missouri State University. He currently works as a technical writer, specializing in information and instructional design, for Archer Technologies. In addition to writing and editing, Jonathan also enjoys music and travel. In his spare time, he serves as a team leader for the Messiah Project of the Ozarks. In this position, he has organized, directed and lead two international performance tours of area music ensembles—to China in 2004, and to Poland and Russia in 2006. |
