ENG 321 898, 3 hrs
Writing II: Beginning Technical Writing
Prerequisite: ENG 110 or equivalent, and 45 hours. Practice in application letters, résumés, brochures, instructions, graphic illustrations, collaborative writing, and ethical considerations. Students complete a manual or other professional document. Emphasis on presenting information clearly and concisely, in both prose and visuals.

Ms. Valerie K. Turner
Valerie Turner holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in English. She has been the Communications Coordinator for the Career Center since July 1991. In this capacity, Valerie develops various office publications, maintains the Career Center’s web site, prepares presentation materials, and teaches a career course. In addition, Valerie teaches per-course classes for the English Department and is staff advisor for the Missouri State Chapter Association of Women in Communications. Before joining the Career Center, Valerie’s various careers included lecturer in the English Department, public information specialist for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and a magazine staff writer.
