ENG 373 899, 3 hrs
Writing with Technology
Prerequisite: ENG 110 or equivalent, CSC/CIS 101 or equivalent, and 45 hours. Explores software and hardware tools that professional writers use in the workplace to design, compose, present, and distribute technical information. Students will produce projects to gain a hands-on understanding of the tools used in creating online Help and printed documentation, working with graphics, constructing web pages, and other relevant areas.

Mr. Michael Stowe
Mr. Michael Stowe earned his B.A. in English (1995) and M.A. in Writing (1998) from Missouri State. In 1999, Missouri State hired him as an instructor to teach technical writing courses. He teaches Writing with Technology I and II, courses he designed, as well as Writing for the Computer Industry. In addition, he serves as the department's Webmaster and is a senior member of STC. Teaching, the English language, and computer technology are Mr. Stowe's significant interests, so he feels fortunate to have a career allowing all three to converge. In 2006, Mr. Stowe won a College of Arts and Letters award for teaching. |
