The American Revolution: The Use and Understanding of Sources
Prerequisite: HST 601 or permission of department head
Students will study seminal primary and secondary sources relating to
the American Revolution, discussing and analyzing their content, origins,
and context in order to understand their application to the research,
writing, and teaching of history.

Missouri residents: $275 per credit hour

Instructor:
Dr. Thornton Miller
Dr. F. Thornton Miller is a Professor in the Department
of History. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Alabama.
He teaches courses in colonial history, the American Revolution,
the Early American Republic, and U. S. legal and constitutional
history.
He has published several works in these areas.
