Advanced Project Management
Prerequisite: IDM 535
This course is a requirement for the Project Management option of the
Master of Science in Administrative Studies. Practical
examination of project management from start to finish, including specific
emphasis on planning and controlling to avoid common pitfalls. Topics
include identifying needs, defining requirements, project costing, scheduling,
resource allocation, and project politics. Students are expected to demonstrate
the ability to apply the knowledge and experience gained in their program
of study to the evaluation and analysis of project case studies that include
projects ranging from the space shuttle to affordable housing.
