Ms. Kimberly Fielding received her bachelor's and master's degrees in social work while living in Denver, Colorado. She then, in 2008, completed a doctorate (EdD) in the Educational Leadership and Change program from the Fielding Graduate University (Santa Barbara, CA). Kimberly's scholarly interests involve maximizing the teaching and learning relationship, whether in the traditional onsite classroom or in the burgeoning area of online distance education. Her dissertation, Breaking Through: A Grounded Theory Study of Social Work Distance Education, reflects her eight years of work as a distance learning specialist with a CSWE accredited program. In 2005, Kimberly began teaching for Missouri State University in an adjunct capacity, and became full time in the fall of 2007. She hopes to continue her post-doctoral practice in the areas of educational social justice, community organizing, and postmodern theory building. |
